How I can help your organization with my experience in non-profit management, marketing and fund raising:

Management: I have been involved in establishing, managing, promoting and raising the funds and developing non-due revenue sources for non-profit organizations in the Greater Baltimore area.

Marketing: I have established a new non-profit, including setting up their non-profit tax status and establishing the corporation in Maryland. I recruited a base membership, developed member benefits and put the organization in the hands of a governing board.

Staff Training: I have managed a staff of volunteers and paid employees, and written manuals for both positions. I am adept at working with and developing boards of directors to promote the organization.

Computer Training: I am at ease with computers, having assisted in the computerization of two offices.

Communications: I excel at communications. News releases, news letters and trade journals are the key methods with which I have communicated my organizations news both internally and to the public. When I do new releases the sales of the organizations products increase dramatically. When my organization has an economic downturn, I have written and printed my own newsletter to keep the members alive. I have written for and edited journals for state and national associations.

Grant & Proposal Writing: I have solicited grants from local, regional and national corporations and foundations. I have initiated grant programs at non-profit organizations to bring in the funds in a timely and orderly manner, allowing the organizations to remain solvent even during hard times.

Financial Management: When funds at one non-profit dropped dramatically, I was able to bring them back from the brink of bankruptcy. I moved the office to a new location, negotiated a lease within a state-owned building and saved over ten thousand dollars to the bottom line.

Fund Raising: My training and expertise is in planning meetings, raising funds and bringing more money to the bottom line.

Conference and Meeting Management: I have managed large conferences up to nine thousand people and small meetings of twenty five. I have marketed meetings and made them profitable. I have managed trade-shows and increased booth sales. I have managed all the details from logistics, speakers, food and beverage, hotels, audio visuals, and handouts.
